Acrylic Revolution: New Tricks and Techniques for Working with the World's Most Versatile Medium
Acrylic Revolution will show readers everything they need to know to be successful in their acrylic painting projects. With over 101 of the most popular, interesting, and indispensable tricks for working with acrylic - each with its own step-by-step demonstration - there is literally page after age of acrylic instruction and inspiration for readers to discover. A gallery of finished art at the back of the book will show readers how to combine different tricks to use in their artwork offering them real-life applications for acrylic techniques.

A compendium of hundreds of effects that can be created using the five major mediums of ink, watercolour, acrylic, oil and pastel in both traditional and experimental ways. Each of the five sections of the book begins with a discussion of the specific medium's properties and methods of application.

Chit Chat
I’ve always thought that I have a leaning towards being somewhat narcissitic so it has been quite fun just writing a quick chit chat each month about myself or my life. This month however I was wondering if we need a community forum on blueBanksia so that we can communicate. Not just between myself and you out there but so that blueBanksia’s visitors and subscribers can communicate with each other. It would be great to share knowledge, opinions and questions about visual arts practice, learning or inspiration.
If you have an interest in being involved with the start up of a special interest group in the forum please contact me at teresa@bluebanksia.com
If not but you would like to let us know whether or not you would like us to set up a community forum (even if you would just like to be a “lurker!”) please go to blueBanksia’s home page and complete the quick online survey. If there is enough interest we will do our best to get one up and off the ground.

Everything is speeding up towards the end of the year. TAFE is in it's final semester, Uni students are gearing up for their final assessments and exams and the HSC students will be sitting their exams later this month culminating their 12 years at school.
Let's remember to add some special treats in our lives. Even if its the carrot to get us over the line. It works for me. If I have scheduled some special art workshop or time just to spend in our beautiful natural environment, I can get through these extra busy and stressful times.
Be gentle on yourselves and add some space into your day - even if it's too sit in the sun for 10 minutes having lunch.
And for all those students about to sit exams - good luck!
