Baldessin Studio offers artists residencies/retreats, art & photography camps, printmaking workshops, studio access to printmaking facilities, art mentoring and more.
You can unwind, relax and enjoy the Australian bush; listen to the birds, smell the native mintbush, watch the kangaroos play and bring on your natural creativity.

Your accommodation is in the Artists Garret, a self contained attic flat above the studio, at treetop height, the balcony overlooking the bush.
Work in tranquil surroundings, at your own pace downstairs in the studio and live upstairs. For writers, there is a separate office with windows on three sides looking into the bush.
Join a WORKSHOP (1 to 4 days) in Photogravure with Silvi Glattauer, Etching with Robert Hails, Monotype with Tess Edwards, or Ephemeral environmental sculpture with Lloyd Godman. See website for dates and details of individual workshops throughout the year, or propose your own custom made weekend.
Twice yearly we head off on a CAMPING TRIP, one to the sea and one to the desert (Wilson's Prom NP & Lake Mungo NP). These are workshops in Digital Photography with Silvi Glattauer & Lloyd Godman, taking place over 4 days. Night-time Light painting by the full moon and photoshop techniques are just a part of the program to help you develop a perceptive vision and create truly memorable art photography.
Enquire about our popular four day SUMMER WORKSHOPS in January. Have a holiday, be inspired, have fun and produce wonderful artwork at the same time. Accommodation on the property is available at reasonable rates, and camping is an option during the summer months. Maximum in group is 8 for all workshops.
Join the small group on Mondays for ACCESS STUDIO day, where you can use the studio facilities for a small fee, to work on your project and/or experiment with materials and techniques. A fully equipped intaglio print studio is available with 2 etching presses, one medium and one very large motorised Enjay model. For photogravure there is an exposure UV vacuum unit for photosensitive plates. Non toxic printmaking methods are encouraged.
