Touring Portugal with art tuition by renowned Australian artist Ev Hales, this is an opportunity to join a 14-day escorted painting tour in 2010.Working on location in Portugal will result in some fabulous works as a permanent reminder of what you saw on your trip.

The tour starts with a five-night stay in the historic old city of Porto, based in a centrally located three-star hotel close to cobblestone alley ways, magnificent old buildings, churches swathed in blue and white azulejos (tiles) and stunning views over the city and the River Douro.

Mid-week we will enjoy a cruise up the Douro by traditional rabelo boat, passing through three locks (one 35 metres high!) on our way to Pinhão in the heart of Port wine country.

We plan to stay overnight in this region to have time to paint the scenery and visit the beautiful village of Alijó on our way back to Porto by private coach.

Inclusions and Exclusions

The tour cost will be €2,500 (euro) per person on a twin-share basis (approx. A$4,500). Non-painting partner rates on a twin-share basis are €2,300 (Euro) (approx. A$4,050).

Single-room supplement will be €500 (approx. A$900). All taxes are included. Cost is in Euros and will vary in Australian dollars according to exchange rate on booking, so estimates have been given. Payment can be made using the easy and safe PayPal system.

Airfares to/from Australia and airport transfers are not included. Approximations can be obtained by asking and travel agents can be referred.

Travel Insurance is mandatory
Daily breakfasts are included and at least 12 lunches/dinners so you can experience great Portuguese and international cuisine as well as some of Portugal’s spectacular wines.
